| 352305 | 2005-05-05 08:44:00 | I'm trying to make a webpage for my family... I've found (through scouring the net) a way of adding a footer to my page that finds the bottom of the browser window and adds the footer right at the bottom, unless there is content already there, then it just adds the footer below the content. This is achieved by putting everything into a table - the content goes into the first row (using the tag <tbody valign="top"> ), and then putting the footer into the next row (using the tag <tbody valign="bottom"> ). This works - most of the time :) I have a page that has some content in <div> tags placed with absolute positioning. This is therefore ignored by the <tbody valign="bottom"> tag, so if this content is below the bottom of the browser window the footer goes right through the middle of it. Can anyone offer any other suggestions of either how to get the footer to notice the absolute positioned content, or some other script, php, html, anything that'll place a footer (with zero spacing around it) right at the bottom of the browser window, or below all content if the content passes the bottom of the browser window? Thanks, Midavalo. |
