| 351871 | 2005-05-03 22:41:00 | Had some kids playing with my computer, never again without supervision. Now, every now and then it tries to log on by itself every five seconds or thereabouts. The only way I can stop it is to reboot. Obviously a tick was put in or taken out, I have not a clue. All this with Outlook Express. Help would be appreciated. John |

| 351872 | 2005-05-03 23:14:00 | you proberly have auto connect on and most likly some spyware or other crap running. do a full scan with an uptodate antivirus, adaware and spybot. if you have a decent firewall installed it should show whats trying to connect. have no ide what you mean by "All this with Outlook Express". |

| 351877 | 2005-05-04 03:27:00 | Under Internet Options - Connections, set never dial a connection. You can connect manually whenever, you like by launching dialup networking. You should also install ZA, as suggested by tweak'e which will alert you to whatever is tryiing to dialling. Windows Security (i.e. Windows XP Firewall), only blocks inbound, not outbound connections. |
