353078 2005-05-07 08:46:00 Hi all. Sorry for putting a second post up but things have changed abit but still very confussed. I have got a DSE ADSL router: Found Here (www.dse.co.nz) , a DSE wireless access point: Found Here (www.dse.co.nz) and a laptop with a 802.11 b/g WiFi (i think) adapter.

I was having trouble getting anything at all but I reset the Access Point and go it to load it's defualts. Now the laptop is saying I have a signal (100% quality, 96% strength) but I installed the software that came with the acess point and I can not connect to it to config. it. When I say I can't connect, I mean I click on "Search for AP" and nothing comes up, nothing at all. I have tried ping'ing the AP and nothing. So I'm getting a signal from the AP but can not connect to it. I have read the manual, saying that the IP address of the laptop must be between 192.168.0.1 ~ 0.253 as the IP of the AP is 0.254. Does anyone have any ideas? And also, if I do end up connecting to the AP, how do I get the internet to come through?

Thanks, hope this all makes sence this time :)

James
