352821 2005-05-06 12:21:00 Please help me find on the internet a driver which I can use to fire up an out of stock item. It is an Acer 310S scanner, but the driver that came with the CD rom does not work on my Windows 98 computer. I bought the scanner on Trade Me from a reputable seller and there appears to be nothing wrong with it.
I have tried Ben-Q's website which led me to Next Electronics.
The seller on Trade Me said they had obtained a driver off Xerox, however I would not know how to contact them.
I have tried Drivers.com to no avail.
I've installed a DTC3181X/DTC3151X SCSI Host Adapter but that only shows an exclamation mark in the Device Manager window.
I think there is a twain file in windows/system from a previous failed installation.

I found 9 drivers for that device.
One of them is bound to work.
You may need to sign up to download from there, so if that's too much hassle, PM me & I'll email them to you.

Small hint for driverguide: (whispers) Although it says you have to sign up, just log on with the username Drivers & the password All
It will say that your password is due to expire, but it gives you the option to ignore that & download anyway.
Saved my ass on many an occasion.
