| 352804 | 2005-05-07 08:42:00 | I think the signatures and updates of counterspy is the same as MS AntiSpyware Beta. Someone in this forum mentioned this before. Cheers :) |

| 352805 | 2005-05-08 02:55:00 | From the Counterspy Home Site... Are Microsoft Antispyware and Sunbelt CounterSpy the same product? A: Both products originated from the same base of code. However, both are going in their own direction. While they look similar, that outward similarity will not exist in future versions of either product. CounterSpy is actively being developed by a world-class team of developers here at Sunbelt. Our research team is also adding definitions to what Microsoft sends us. With CounterSpy, you get two layers of definitions: Microsoft's and then ours. Q: Is Sunbelt a licensee of Microsoft? A: No. Sunbelt is the full owner of the CounterSpy technology. Both companies are completely separate and each own their own code. The only ongoing relationship with regard to spyware is that Microsoft is delivering definition updates to Sunbelt until July of 2007. |
