2005-05-05 21:35:00 | Personally I would run MemTest86 (sorry I don't have a link for it - Google it) to check to see if your RAM is ok. But before doing that, take the cover off the PC and make sure the RAM is seated correctly. You may also have an incompatibility between your RAM modules.

2005-05-05 21:36:00 | OK . It might be a videocard prob, or the videocard drivers may need updating or something . Do you know what the videocard is in that system? Name/brand? I don't think the ram would be the prob . Ram when it plays up would either stop the system from booting at all, or just crash every so often, which I dont think its doing is it?

2005-05-05 23:39:00 | Thats what i thought Speedy Ill check the RAM is seated correctly tomorow (although as you say, surely it wouldnt boot up at all if it wasnt) Im running a GeForce FX5200 128mb, i updated drivers 2 weeks ago although im no drivers expert so i could have installed old ones i dont get the problem when running anything full screen, for instance i was streaming a football match through media player last night and it was flickering, but i went full screen and it didnt happen again?

2005-05-06 01:18:00 | I think your card is the same as mine . So the Nvidia drivers say! . Uninstall the drivers u have now in Add/remove . Delete its folder (C : / Nvidia) . If this is there . Reboot then reinstall the new drivers, which may fix the prob . Just download/install . Then reboot again . See if its any better . Drivers are here . nvidia . com/object/winxp_2k_71 . 89 . html" target="_blank">www . nvidia . com This is if you're using windows 2000/XP . Download the US English drivers .

2005-05-09 19:03:00 | I am not sure if this helps, try setting your monitor's refresh rate to somewhat higher than the current one you are using. For example, you might want to try 60Hz. Cheers :)
