| 352756 | 2005-05-06 06:23:00 | On my laptop, my ethernet port broke about a year ago. NEC computers refused to repair it because it was 'physical damadge'. Seeing as im on adsl, i kinda need my ethernet port for the internet, so i went out and bought a usb-ethernet converter. it worked great till about 2 days ago when i reinstalled windows xp. now it wont install the driver i was using before. I tried on my sisters computer, which it installed quite happily on (runnning xp also). Why is this? Is there any way to fix it? | helpmeee (7912) | ||
| 352757 | 2005-05-06 08:52:00 | When you say It won't install the driver.. is it freezing up or something. Is it giving an error message? Have you been to the manufacturers website for any known issues with service packs? What service packs are you running? One or two? |
