| 353601 | 2005-05-09 07:24:00 | Hi I've put some photos on the net and while I can view them fine at home and on another computer at work, a third person can see some, but not all photos. They can see the instead the wee white box with the red cross which I believe means that the address of the photo is invalid. Now if I can see the whole page on a different PC, why can't another person? If you want to look at the page it's here (it'll take about 5 minutes to load on dial-up so don't worry about it unless you'e got broadband) homepages.paradise.net.nz Cheers |

If the other person is on dialup, the page may not load fully because of the amount of images displayed (page times out while loading). What happens if they right click on the image place holder and select "display image"? Another option is to create your photogallery using thumbnails of the images which load full size images when clicked upon. This will make it easier for the dialup users to load your site. :) |

As to why some people can see it and others can't - it could be timing out (?maybe the viewer is leaving the page before all photos are loaded?) or, possibly, the viewer is using an older version of a browser or a different browser which isn't reading the styles code correctly . Were there specific images that weren't loading? What sort of browser was being used and the version? |
