| 353294 | 2005-05-08 06:29:00 | Hi All' Got our very first trojan today, "Trojan Horse Downloader.Agent.9.D". No idea what it was or how I (repeat I got it & not Maryann). I have not visited any "Naughty" sites. So I am gratrful to AVG. Came as a big suprise tho !! PJ :thumbs: :o |

| 353296 | 2005-05-08 06:40:00 | I think most of these "downloader" trojans are due to the lack of updating Windows . Not because u go to porn or warez sites . Altho these are classed as trojans, they exploit "vulnerabilities" in Windows, or IE . Versions of Windows that haven't been patched . |

| 353297 | 2005-05-08 07:40:00 | either you have downloaded it yourself (even if it was bundled with another program) or its come through via a web site. depending on WHERE it got caught you may have just got the installer before it installed anything (which is quite comman and is exspected). porn sites, warez etc are the more comman sites to get downloader and adware trojens from but i have seen them come from kids sites as well. after all they are usually there to help pay for the site (or just make heaps of $$). updateing windows helps stopping the auto download and install quietly ones. a firewall can stop the downloader trojens from gaining access to the net and downloading more malware. good to see AVG got the bugger :) |

| 353298 | 2005-05-08 11:02:00 | Few years ago on my Windows 98 computer, whenever I use Kazaa, the trojan downloader always got into my machine and ended up with a 16 colour screen resolution whenever I restart the computer. Cheers :) |
