353131 2005-05-07 21:27:00 One of our two home computers connects to the internet via a wireless link (802.11b) to an access point plugged into an ADSL router. We use Telecom Xtra Jetstream (or whatever it's called now). My son says that I would get 'faster internet' if I used a network cable straight the router, instead of wireless.

I know a cable would be faster than the wireless as a LAN option, but I thought that 802.11b is faster than our internet connection and that using a cable wouldn't make any difference re internet speed. Is my thinking correct?

Cheers
