| 354111 | 2005-05-11 07:10:00 | Hi guys. I just bought this Compaq Armada 7400 laptop off of ebay about a week ago, and it was working fine untill this morning. I tried to turn it on today and it wouldnt respond to anything. No lights no monitor, nothing. I hooked it up to the adapter, but still no response. Does anybody know what could be wrong with it? Could it be the battery? Should it work if the battery is dead but its hooked up to the adapter, or is it part of the circuit and it cant work if the battery is dead? Thanks, any help is appreciated |

I've seen some Armadas where it looks like the cable is in but there isn't power getting through. If you either wiggle the power plug or put slight pressure to one side can you get the power light on the front of the case to come on? (it may appear as an orange colour). I agree you don't actually need the battery plugged in for the laptop to work using mains power and that's worth trying first. HTH, Andrew. |
