| 354085 | 2005-05-11 02:30:00 | Last year I switched from Nortons to Trend Micro for Internet Security. However I notice that every time I do a defrag the number of fragments attributed to Program Files\Trend Micro\Internet Security\Log\pcc.log have increased and are now showing 2,235 fragments with a file size of 143MB.Every time there's an update from Trend(and that's often)this file size increases. Will this be contributing to the slowing down of my computer and is there anything I can do about it? I run WindowsXP Home Edition |

Suggest you stop the virus checker when you defrag (always a good idea). If the log details are not really that important to you (143MB is a lot of log data), you can even delete it before the defrag. Next time you restart the pc and/or the vc and if you have an option/preference setting to keep a log, it will create a fresh copy if it doesn't find one. HTH |
