353816 2005-05-10 10:06:00 Hi All. Is it possible to permanently, as in at will, the background colour of the E-mail Page? From white to something other than? Thanks PJ Poppa John (284)
353817 2005-05-10 10:14:00 Hi Poppa John,
Yes it is.
Right click on your desktop, click properties, click appearance, under item click window, next to that click colour then other that will give you a whole rainbow to choose from, then you can darken or lighten the colour using the slider down the side, after that you just go apply, ok.
Hope that's what you meant.
Pauline.

353818 2005-05-10 10:41:00 Pauline . You have lost me . I am using XP Home. Where you sent me was to Display & I can change things in there. What I want to do is change the colour of the OE Message space where one types in a message. It can be, partly, done by using the 'New message using" option, but that is not what I want. Hi PJ, also if you wanted to set a default different colour background in your new html messages, permanently, (instead of having to choose the "format" - "Background" option for each new message) - you can do this by choosing - "Tools", "Options", "Compose" tab, then under "Stationery" - put a tick in the "Mail" under - "When composing new html mess . use the following stationery" - Then click on the "create new" and the wizard will appear to guide you through making the stationery/background you want to use by default, where you can choose the default background colour under the first setting, by ticking the "Colour" instead of "Picture" then choosing your colour from the drop down menu . . . , you can also set the default fonts etc . . .

After you have done this, if you wanted to stop using it by default, you would just take the tick out of the setting again in - "Tools", "Options", "Compose" tab, then under "Stationery" - untick in the "Mail" under - "When composing new html mess . use the following stationery" .

You are just creating a new "Stationery" to use ;) , which will have your preferences . . .

Just thought that may be handy for you also :) .
