| 353928 | 2005-05-10 03:57:00 | Anyone seen the telephony svc crash xp (stop 8e)? I have just run sp2 upgd on a HP 8903 and it would not complete the startup after the update. I have got it running by much effort finding that the telephony svc is the main culprit. If I start this, xp crashes immediately. I deleted the modem and it put back the same dvr (conexant softK56). As it needs a dial-up I am getting a bit stumped. I have tried googling but no luck. TIA. |

| 353929 | 2005-05-10 04:49:00 | Follow-up. Seems to be modem dvr related as I uninstalled the modem and removed it from the case. Now I can start the telephony svc without it immediately crashing XP. So seems as if SP2 is loading fatally flawed dvrs for this modem. Now to try to get a driver that works! | linw (53) | ||
