| 353910 | 2005-05-10 06:57:00 | When I boot my pc (athlon 2500+, XP Home sp2), my d-link dsl-504g router (that is connected to my machine via a network card that I installed) never shows up... If I goto network connections there is no sign of it... So I then restart my PC and its there.... Do I have to wait to my router connects to ihug before I turn my pc on? I power down my router when I turn my pc off at night.... Anyone have any ideas? Thanks. M. |

| 353912 | 2005-05-10 11:46:00 | a router never shows up in windows. its not ment to show up so how do you know it "there" ? network connections only shows the network card. odds are the network card is waiting for an IP addy from the router. normally you just wait and it will come on. plus the router takes a little while to log into the ISP (tho it often shows it log in but theres a little bit of a wait before you get adsl service). |
