354339 2005-05-12 06:27:00 Why do they release a newer version of Firefox so frequently? Is this just an excuse to fix up their previous version's flaw? Renmoo (66)

It is to fix a previous flaw, not an "excuse" to do so.

Please bare in mind that no software is flawless. Software can be released without any known flaws, but code can still be made to exploit "flawless" software.

Think of a car as a piece of software, and spikes on a road as an exploit. Said spikes blow the tyres, so the car company releases a new updated car with solid rubber tyres that wont blow when spiked.
There was nothing wrong with the tyres, but someone devised a way to cause damage anyway.

354344 2005-05-12 08:56:00 I didn't even bother to uninstall the old version first before proceeding installing the newest version. Seems all right to me.

Cheers :)

Thanks Jameskan
Have just installed with no probs. In fact I was asked to close the version of Firefox that I had open before it finished installation. So they have thought of that.
