355882 2005-05-17 04:08:00 I'm using Outlook Express and am having heaps of German Spam dumped into my Deleted Items folder by Xtra. I can't find any trace of the worm on my XP Home system. Am I at risk or worse still, infected? Cymbalz (4460)

355888 2005-05-17 08:45:00 This is what Symantec have to say in their intro. to the beastie:

"Trojan.Ascetic.C is a Trojan horse that uses its own SMTP engine to send spam email to addresses gathered from the compromised computer. The email may be in either English or German.

Note: Definitions prior to May 16, 2005 may detect this threat as W32.Sober.P@mm."

I had an email 'returned' today, needless to say I hadn't sent it, there was a heap of addresses in the UK to which it had been sent, strangely all with the same ISP, one of them I knew, and many of them had musical connections in their names like musicnut1@..., so I reckon someone I know, maybe the one I recognised (he is a musician) has got this mass mailer trojan, and it has hijacked his address book.

The subject of the email was :
Du wirst zum Sklaven gemacht!!!

which is one of the email subjects listed on the Symantec site.

How do you guys determine your location coordinate?
Renmoo (66)
355890 2005-05-17 09:01:00 GPS= Global Positoning System is one way. Otherway is to get your coordinates off a topographical map and then do a conversion to latitude and longitude.

NZ map grid coordinates are more useful on land!
