355846 2005-05-17 02:46:00 Yup if u have a program that does OCR (optical character recognition), like Omnipage pro. BUT most arent free.

These programs scan text, and let u edit text.

But there's shareware programs, you can download.

355847 2005-05-17 02:47:00 What are you scanning it as? Do you want to edit an image (say a photo) or text?

For text, you have to use OCR software (Optical Character Recognition) which usually comes bundled with the scanner .

If an image, use something like Irfanview or Picasa (both free) for light weight editing . If you want more grunt, Photoshop Elements is a mid range image editor, costs about $200-
