| 355529 | 2005-05-16 02:20:00 | Hey Guys, I just restarted my PC and enabled the parallel port in the BIOS, when I rebooted i get BAD_POLL_MODE_CALLER (or something alike) bluescreen. This is referring to SFC4.sys file. Then I restart in a different mode (last known good config) and it gives me the kmode error referring to ntoskrnl.exe Now I cannot work on my windows. The one day I have free to work on my website and windows takes it from me! The same thing happened when I put new ram in, and - as it seems - whenevre i change something in the BIOS. The only solution after trawlng the internet for hours was to reinstall windows. This is so freaking annoying I am installing fedora core3 right now, but as I suck with linux would anyone know how I culd fix the windows problem. I have looked here, www.pressf1.co.nz but nothing has happened with that and I have suffered ALL that frankstine has. My specs are in my sig, but booting off a SATA 40gb hard drive. F****** WINDOWS! |
