| 355467 | 2005-05-15 23:01:00 | The pdf is being converted from pagemaker with adobe and the resulting pdf hasn't got the full charts on as per the original. How can i adjust the settings to make sure all the info is converted without making the file size more than 1mg? :confused | jclifton (8124) | ||
| 355468 | 2005-05-15 23:19:00 | have you checked your settings, are you using export to pdf in pagemaker or distiller? You could try saving as an eps then dropping it into distiller. | plod (107) | ||

| 355470 | 2005-05-16 05:10:00 | I'm using export in Pagemaker to make into pdf. How do I save a Pagemaker doc into an eps and where do I find distiller?Do you have the full Acrobat package (not just the reader) - in which case, which version? I may be wrong, but I think "Export to PDF" in Pagemaker doesn't use Distiller/Acrobat - which may be why you can't find Distiller - you don't have Acrobat (if you see what I mean ;) ). If you do have Acrobat, Distiller is installed as a virtual printer, and you just select that as the printer from Pagemaker. I'm not sure that creating an EPS and then distilling is a good idea - AFAIK that will tend to produce a very big PDF file. |
