2005-05-17 10:13:00 | 'Frinstance, if someone has a cruise missile, they could land it in my front garden by programming it to go to NZMG E2686000, N6010222 with an accuracy hopefully of +/- 10 metres :)That's a nice round easting there Terry. How do you guys determine your location coordinate?I work in Geographic Information Systems - we have the city mapped, with coordinates etc. on computer, so I can find anywhere in the city and give coordinates etc. for it. I found the centre of my house in New Zealand Transverse Mercator coordinates (similar to the New Zealand Map Grid that Terry mentioned) and converted them to Lat/Long. Mike.

2005-05-18 00:45:00 | How do you guys determine your location coordinate? A1:25000 topo and a thing called a "ruler" - Mike, I would be interested to learn just how accurate I was (eg kitchen, lounge, computer room, bog etc) compared to your system. ;) ;)

2005-05-18 04:59:00 | Mike, I would be interested to learn just how accurate I was (eg kitchen, lounge, computer room, bog etc) compared to your system. ;) ;)Well I'm not in Blenheim, so can't really help you there - try your local council, get their coordinates (in whatever system they have it in) and we can try converting them to lat/long and see how yours compare. Our system is supposed to be accurate to something like within a few millimetres (or better), but I don't know if it is... Definitely is pretty close (I say that based on the fact that we have aerial photos in our system, and get survey grade GPS points for Manholes and the dots from the GPS appear right where you can see the manhole on the photos, so I'd assume that's quite accurate). Anyway, I put you at about 3km (as the crow flies) from somewhere called "Solar Heights" or "Redwoodtown" - about 10km south of Blenheim. That's courtesy of Mapquest (www.mapquest.com). Actually, come to think of it, we do have full NZ data somewhere, so maybe I can load that up and narrow it down a little :D If I remember. Mike.

That's not bad, I'm just over 1km SE of town centre and according to mapquest it seems I live at No. 4 Data Not Available! |

2005-05-18 06:46:00 | On the original topic, there's a story in the The Press (www.stuff.co.nz) about it. It's the nasty neo-Nazis. But after getting that libnk, it's no longer available. However using the Stuff site search(go to their Home) for "spam nazi" will get the Dominion's version. | Graham L (2) | |

2005-05-23 03:29:00 | It takes email addresses from address books, so it probably means someone who has your clients email address in their system is infected, not necessarily your client. It is what happened to me, a returned email I hadn't sent. | Terry Porritt (14) | |
