Firefox is great, but I wish people would stop making it out to be gods gift to net users. |

| 355377 | 2005-05-17 08:05:00 | So Ad-aware SE and Spybot Search & Destroy got rid of some things but your main problems still exists? Next up is to use HijackThis which will create a snapshot log of your system that people can use to see what malware/adware is causing your problem. Download HijackThis from here (www.majorgeeks.com). It will be a zipped file (ending in a .zip). You need to create a new folder to put this unzipped program into, so make a new folder under C:\Program Files called HJT eg: C:\Program Files\HJT. You need to extract that downloaded zipped file and save the contents to your new HJT folder. Then run the program from that folder and it will create a log. Post this log back here for experts to examine. Do not attempt to use the program to fix anything without being told first that it is safe to do so. If you have any questions in using this program then please post back, as quite a few people are familiar with it and will be able to help out. :) Do you have an up to date Antivirus program and a firewall? |
