| 355738 | 2005-05-16 14:27:00 | i have recently (a couple of months) fixed up an old pentium 3 computer and it has been running with no problems. until recently (last week lol) for some reasons, my keyboard and mouse stops responding. when i turn on the p3, the caps lock button flashes for one second, then it does not respond anymore. when i am at my login window, the mouse does not respond either. both are ps/2 inputs. i bought usb keyboard and mouse today but no luck. apparently it doesnt respond to usb inputs unless i can get in BIOS, but again, my keyboards are not working. so can anyone help? | melted_fire_orb (8132) | ||
| 355739 | 2005-05-16 21:19:00 | Was USB working before? Just a thought - boot into safe mode and see if the PS2 problem still exists. I came across a spyware a few weeks ago that would cause KB and mouse to stop after a bit. If the KB does not even work to allow that, then the PS2 ports are stuffed. I'd chnage the MB. |

| 355742 | 2005-06-11 18:15:00 | last time, my PS/2 didnt work. now even my USB wired or non-wired keyboards work. if i can log in, is there anyway to enable on-screen keyboard at login window, so i can make sure i can run my computer? i need my computer for server purposes, and i need to login, connect to the internet, and find out my IP. now, is there a way to login? without changing my board? thanks |
