1386122 2014-10-12 00:41:00 Since yesterday I have not been able to access Google + from Opera 12.17 a PCs running Win XP, Win 7 and Win 10. When I try I get

"Problem loading Google+

There was a problem loading the Google+ CSS. Please double check your network connection and try reloading in a few minutes."

It's OK from Firefox and Chrome.

Anyone else out there using this version of Opera and are you having the same problems??

Also the comments sections of Youtube look crap as well.

Thanx in advance..

1386123 2014-10-12 06:54:00 Time to ditch Opera. :( Cato (6936)
1386124 2014-10-12 06:55:00 Opera 12.17 is an obsolete browser and the Presto engine is no longer supported. I have found Opera 12.17 is increasingly having difficulty rendering web pages to the extent I have given it up and changed to the current version (Opera 24) with the blink engine. Sadly for many traditional Opera users the stripped down nature of the current offering is a step too far. I have persisted with the new version since v19 and now I am more familiar with it much prefer it to the "old" Opera. tutaenui (1724)

1386126 2014-10-12 20:26:00 Opera 12.17 was only released in April this year. I have Opera 26 also installed on my PC but compared to Opera 12 it's crap. A bit like what Microsoft did going from Win 7 to Win 8 and the terrible interface. Opera 26 is a clone of Chrome but it doesn't even have a Home button. To go back to your home page you have to close down and open again. The main reason I still use O 12.17 is that it has a great login system which is a joke in the later versions. I have found the odd site that O12 doesn't work on but that's why you have a second or third browser as well.. If I migrate to another browser it will be FireFox which currently is my main backup.. paulw (1826)
1386127 2014-10-12 22:10:00 Opera 12.7 is what all browers should be...works soooo much better than the others. I have Chrome loaded as well, but Opera (the real opera) is streets a head of the others. Some many customization that have disappeared in the newer versions.I have no issues reaching Google +, but as I don't indulge I am not sure what to look for.Opera ROCKS! ruup (1827)
1386128 2014-10-12 22:15:00 Can't help with your problem sorry as I am still using the version just prior to Opera's big change. Unfortunately I also find a number of sites that either don't display correctly or not at all so have to use Firefox or IE for those. It's a pain but until I find another browser that is as customisable as the version I have got I have to put up with it. :( FoxyMX (5)
1386129 2014-10-15 02:39:00 Well after this problem I decided to have a closer look at Opera 26 and low and behold it has the ability to import all your settings from Opera 12 and so far it appears to work. The one thing that is missing is any for of Home button.. Will keep looking at this as a replacement for opera 12.17 paulw (1826)
1386130 2014-10-15 04:02:00 Did you get to keep your skin? or did you have to use the sh**** new ones? ruup (1827)
1386131 2014-10-15 05:42:00 Did you get to keep your skin? or did you have to use the sh**** new ones?

New one. However I installed this version at home and none of the Opera 12 import or speed dial stuff is not there. Will have to look closer when I get back to work..
