1385678 2014-10-05 08:43:00 I'm an ex-pat kiwi living, mostly, in Australia. Is there any relatively easy way to get my NZ TV news fix over the internet without transgressing anybody's rules. Or is that what I might have to do.
Its a pain when somebody from 'home' sends me a link to a news item or a program they've watched, but all I get is a message such as "This video is not available to viewers in your location". And the same applies from this side of the ditch. Family at home would love to watch some of the programs that have been on here, and which are available on demand over an internet connection here. Any help or guidance appreciated.

Thanks.

1385679 2014-10-05 17:40:00 Try the add on media hint for firefox or Chrome gary67 (56)
1385680 2014-10-05 18:43:00 try something like hola for a browser then you may be able to get access to tv3 or tvnz. Or check out unblockus.com to see if they suport both services. I know they do support tvnz ondemand (via browser) psycik (12851)
1385681 2014-10-05 20:45:00 I was under the impression the likes of Unblockus and the Hola extension only worked for US-based services.

For something NZ-based, try a VPN connection back through NZ. Looks like Overplay.net has NZ-based servers you can use! :)

NJope, all sorts. UK, France, Denmark, Australia, US, and the odd NZ service.

Pretty Extensive list. TVNZ is listed, not TV3/Prime/Four.

1385686 2014-10-06 18:48:00 Why won't TV On Demand suffice? Greg (193)
1385687 2014-10-06 21:05:00 Perhaps you will be good enough to explain?
The original question outlines why I asked.

Thanks for the previous answers.
