1385428 2014-10-01 07:20:00 Hi we have shifted to tauranga and want an isp which can give us
between 30 and 80 Gb of data monthly
a phone line with national calling
Preferably no contract though we might look at a 6 month one
an isp where we dont have to use a genius type modem as we already have a perfectly good asus modem

I have trawled though the various websites and tried to compare them all but I would be interested to hear from any members who have thoughts on the subject and who are getting good ( or bad ) speeds and experiances from their Isps

many thanks
Peter

1385430 2014-10-01 07:49:00 Most ISPs should be able to offer what you want. Most would also have an install fee if you want no contract. I'd go Spark, personally, but opinions on ISPs are often just that - opinion. inphinity (7274)
1385431 2014-10-02 21:30:00 Inspire, Actrix and Snap are all well rated but don't know about their plans. PPp (9511)
1385432 2014-10-05 02:30:00 I'm happy with Flip especially their prices. With my 10GB plan and homeline I have the option of free national calling (max 1 hour per call) or free 60 carryover minutes per month (to 85 destinations) - only $55 per month, or $65 per month for 30GB's Greg (193)
1385433 2014-10-05 04:33:00 How can you survive with 10gb a month?? :waughh: Cato (6936)

Surely that's a daily cap, not monthly oO

1385435 2014-10-05 16:53:00 Actrix was voted the best ISP for many years in a row.

I always get through to speak to a kiwi quickly.

1385436 2014-10-07 20:19:00 I second Actrix. Only reason we left them is they wouldn't offer Fibre. Otherwise loved them!

Try Bigpipe though

1385437 2014-10-07 22:21:00 Don't go with Flip. They are very cheeky - buy a pool of public IP addresses, then NAT everyone on their network. You can't forward ports, and you may run into any number of other issues too (you have reached your daily limit for creating xxxxx).

There is a reason they are so cheap.
