1371649 2014-03-30 19:34:00 Is anyone using this, and if so are you happy with the service?

Thanks for any feedback.

1371650 2014-03-30 19:44:00 I've just had a couple of mates switch off it who were quite disappointed with the customer service and the overall network performance / throughput. Cable is better than their ADSL, they seem to have separate infrastructure for that. Chilling_Silence (9)
1371651 2014-03-30 19:51:00 Also, do I need a special type of modem to get VDSL?

The reason I ask is that a) I almost never use my landline b) I have over 10 hours accumulated on my mobile plan with 2Degrees, which I also seldom use c) My current ADSL plan gives me 10 gigs per month; with Vodafone's Naked broadband I get an 80 gig allowance - way, way more than I need but still, nice to have just in case, d) the price of $55 per month is the same. And e) I get VDSL.

So overall, a few positives and no negatives.

1371652 2014-03-30 20:51:00 Yes VDSL requires a new VDSL-compatible router. They ought to supply you one with your connection.

Still, you'd go VDSL2 for the faster speeds so you'd hope they'd have their act together and stuff and not be oversubscribing the hell outta their international circuits...
