1371321 2014-03-26 05:09:00 Even if I REALLY, REALLY wanted a parallel imported toaster, I suspect I would pick a different toaster shop. ;) R2x1 (4628)
1371322 2014-03-26 05:47:00 Yeah, right: Coupon code "SAVE11MORE" is not valid. Cato (6936)
1371323 2014-03-26 08:26:00 Might be useful if they still sold anything worth buying Agent_24 (57)
1371324 2014-03-26 08:37:00 I wont be joining the queue. Bobh (5192)
1371325 2014-03-26 22:19:00 I used to love Dick Smiths, these days I can't remember when I went there last. The trouble is they turned into just another appliance store for the most part and we have plenty of those already. I go to Jaycar now, it's pretty much the way Dick smith used to be. dugimodo (138)

Just the same, down to the rip-off pricing!

True enough, but for electronic bits & pieces there's not a lot of choices. They also have a lot of gizmos you don't see commonly around.
Mainly I window shop there :)

There's Farnell and RS Components - Have yet to see something I could buy at Jaycar that I couldn't buy at one of those two, and usually for a much lower price.

For some things (like desolder braid) Jaycar is cheaper, but not very often.

1371329 2014-03-28 00:25:00 The sale was a joke - or should have been.

Excludes Apple and Amazon Kindle branded products, Prepaid Mobile Phones, Gift Cards, Gaming Consoles, and selected advertised lines (XC9091, XC9097, XC9219, XC9227, XC9260, XC9099, XC9064, XC9228, XC9241, GE2566, GE2574, GE2600, TA8013, TA8021, XC9036, TA8008, C7710). Didn't go through them all, but out of 4 random, XC and TA items "Excluded" they were either laptops or Tablets.

In other words the sale was for crap they cant sell at a normal price. ;)
