| 1371114 | 2014-03-26 22:13:00 | www.clevermining.com pays out in BTC directly, they trade all the scrypt coins for you. So while it's not actually mining BTC it feels like it is. Currently the rate is 0.00567 BTC/day per scrypt MH/s. There is a bit of a delay between mining and payout but it's not bad. Their last 24hours profits are approx 117% of LTC mining, it varies a lot but tends to stay a bit higher than straight LTC mining. A friend put me on to them and I'm not entirely convinced it's earning as much more than LTC as it claims but it's in the ballpark and saves me a step when cashing in. If you want to give it a try you just point CGminer at the pool and use your BTC wallet address as a login, no need to register or anything. It's been shut down for about a week now, thinking about selling off the hardware. A quick search for 280x on trademe would seem to indicate I'm not the only one. Good time to buy a 2nd hand graphics card it seems. |

| 1371117 | 2014-04-01 00:58:00 | I'm just bummed coz I paid extra for the 290X but the Sapphire one has the Elpida memory that's not as good for OC'ing as the Hyinx memory that Sapphire used in their R290's. I could have saved $200 per card, got the R290, and been able to get a better hashrate of around 920kH/sec per card instead of my current 845. I'm in it for the longhaul, so even though I'm not quite breaking even, I'm hoping that I'll be on the verge of an upwards trend. |
