It didnt have the noise when I brought it. Its just over the last few weeks it started to get louder. And its bloody annoying lol. Well if I get it back and if the noise is still there, it'll be going back to the same place. For the next 3 years lol Until they fix it or they replace it or I get a refund |

But, he said the pic is starting to fade. And he's had it for just over a year. So, he'll probably take it back to the WH sometime too Would have been nice to know (if this was / is a known prob), BEFORE I brought it. But yup, this sound sounds like cicadas, in the back of the TV. |

Cheap consumer electronics from The Warehouse have never been very good quality, and cheap TVs and LCD monitors are lame anyway at the best of times. If you are on a tight budget I think a 2nd hand one from a good company is a much better idea as pctek said |

| 1371064 | 2014-03-23 21:04:00 | I know that. But yup if its still faulty, and if that noise is still there. I'll get a refund and get another brand. Hell, I'll even buy a PC LED/LCD with a few HDMI (or HDMI and get a HDMI splitter, and use that instead). And connect speakers to it, so I've got better sound | Speedy Gonzales (78) | ||

It sounds more like a loose or cracked core in a power supply inductor. It would be a 50Hz cicada if on the ac input and 100Hz if on the rectified DC side of the power pack. Same for OLED (organic light emitting diode) screens, but they are still newish to consumer technology and I wouldn't have thought that the Warehouse would be sourcing OLED yet in their low-end price range but I have seen full OLED sets in theit top line stuff. However, if the noise varies with the volume setting it is a different type of fault and more likely electronic than physical. Regardless, the Warehouse should repair, replace or refund and in my experience they are not difficult at all about returns. Interestingly, their ads refer to LED and LCD TVs but I wouldn't have thought that VEON was up to the full OLED screen stage yet for their smaller models. Cheers Billy 8-{) |

Well, it's got a 3yr warranty. So, they should do something. Hopefully (if the guy decides to repair it) it doesnt happen again. Otherwise, it'll be going back. And I'll get another brand. There is a similar size in store now which comes with built in DVD. And the same price. The model I've got, it doesnt look like it's in stock now But think I'll buy another better brand, if I get a refund |

Had ours just on a year, picture still great, sound has always been tinny which is why I run it through an amp and a set of floor speakers |
