1371464 2014-03-28 06:21:00 Kim Dot Com is being criticized for collecting German memorabilia, he is German after all! Amongst his collection is a signed copy of "Mein Kampf", Adolf Hitler's autobiography, which must be very valuable. I have read the book and found it very interesting, you don't have to like or agree with some of the contents same as with the Bible.

Adolf Hitler was not German, he was Austrian. He was the complete opposite of his vision of the young Aryan which was tall blond with blue eyes. Hitler was short dark with brown eyes. His Mother was a Jew, which could explain why Jews were not his favorite people!

During the 1930's the World was in a state of depression. To cut a long story short, Adolf Hitler pulled Germany out of depression, got everyone employed and built up the armed forces, he was revered by his people, except for the Jews who tried to keep it all for themselves, as they do! They had to go, but neither Britain, USA or France would have them, so they became disposable. At this stage Hitler decided to convert other countries to his way of doing things, much like USA and Britain did in Iraq. Britain didn't like it and declared war on Germany.

So, from Kim Dot Com's perspective "Mein Kampf" is the story of a very influential leader in the history of his country, which happens to be a valuable collectors item. I have no doubt that he has other signed books in his collection.

We had Robert Mulldoon who was a Dictator, brought down by alchohol. I didn't like him but that does not mean that I would not read his book.

1371465 2014-03-28 06:33:00 To compare Muldoon to Hitler is ludicrous. Muldoon had plenty of faults but he was not a dictator and I do not recall him killing anyone. CliveM (6007)
1371466 2014-03-28 07:05:00 Mein Kampf is one of the bestsellers of all time, and in all likelihood exceeded only by the various religious texts.

Haven't bothered with it myself. But I don't see the big deal.

Really hope this is just a very bad and extremely distasteful attempt at a joke. Either way... :yuck:

1371469 2014-03-28 17:38:00 The rise of Adolf Hitler and it's Finale was surprisingly recreated in a Palo Alto High School 1967 by History Teacher Ron Jones in the Third Wave Experiment

en.wikipedia.org . The Film www.imdb.com

It showed how easy it was corral young minds (Hitler Youth) but you could add any extreme group here ,you don't have to look to far to see

Just look at the melding hand of Dotcon at the moment and think of "The Third Wave Experiment" and all the Sheep that will follow

.

So he should have shipped himself off to the camps then.

And he did not pull it out of a depression - you even know why Germany was broke in the first place? Clue - WWI.
He did not try to convert anyone - he wanted to take their land and resources.

1371471 2014-03-28 19:09:00 Much ado about nothing, I have a SS officers dagger and a silver SS tie pin does not make me a Nazi. I tried to read Mein Kampf but it was hard going, not written too well. I disagree about Hitler not pulling Germany out of the depression pretty sure he had the economy ticking over quite nicely by 1939. Doing what countries did after the 2007 recession building stuff to simulate the economy. Wasn't there going to be a cycle way from North Cape to Bluff?
Been a lot of bad press about Germany but Hungary and Romania were axis powers as well.
