356220 2005-05-18 06:10:00 Is it possible to put 400MHz RAM in a 333MHz DDR slot? scribe (7496)
356221 2005-05-18 06:16:00 Depends if the mobo supports 400..

If not it might go down to 333 speed. Or not work at all.

356222 2005-05-18 06:19:00 The motherboard doesn't say it supports it. But i was wondering if it will work or wont work. scribe (7496)
356223 2005-05-18 06:21:00 generally yes it will work. it will simply run at the slower speed. tweak'e (69)
356224 2005-05-18 06:22:00 Nah dunno if it'll definitely work, but if it does, it'll run at 333 .

So, wouldnt make any diff to what u have now .

356225 2005-05-18 06:22:00 It should work, but only at the slower speed. Graham L (2)
356226 2005-05-19 04:36:00 Find out what motherboard you have then go to that motherboard website find your motherboard there and see what it says, they might have a bios update there as well for your motherboard. :) ps be careful if you do a bios update make sure the update is for your motherboard and it is the correct one for the windows version you are running.(95,98,me,xp...) :) Do at your own risk. :) memphis (2869)

What difference does your operating system make when it comes to a Bios update?

very rarly but i have seen it, a mate had a laptop that had different bios's for different OS's (and yes it mad a big difference when you had the right bios installed). it's the one and only time i have seen that.
