| 356231 | 2005-05-18 06:09:00 | Hey, I just bought Icewind dale 2 on Trademe. I have just installed it but I can't get it to work properly. I can get to the menu screen and select characters etc but when I try to start the game it just freezes on the loading screen. I have downloaded the latest patch, 2.01 but it hasn't made a difference. Unfortunately it appears the developers have gone under! Anyone have any suggestions, I can give you a list of my specs if that helps. Help anyone? |

I was wondering if reverting to a previous version of directx might make a difference? I would have thought that directx was backward compatable though. Hope that is useful I am trying to remember my specs from memory. Cheers |

You should find the version number listed in that program. Or you can go into Display Properties > Settings > Advanced and look for your driver version. I did read somewhere that using an older nVidia driver resolved this problem for someone (not sure how old though). |
