| 356043 | 2005-05-17 13:16:00 | Hi Guys What do you think would be a good all-round firewall to use with Jetstream? Sort of want one thats easy to configure. O/S: Windows ME |

| 356045 | 2005-05-17 20:07:00 | Zone Alarm is pretty good. I personally use the Norton Antivirus Firewall and its great. Not problems with it at all. Also if you have windows XP with SP2 it has a very high quality Firewall. I would recommend this option. |

I use Kerio, it's getting more user friendly all the time . Any firewalls effectiveness can be defeated by the rules the user sets up . IMO, if a firewall is not set to query the slightly more advanced/complex verbosely rather than simply blocking or allowing silently then, it can either lead to problems by blocking wanted events or by allowing unwated ones . A certain amount of complexity (& learning) goes with the territory . You might have to try a couple until you hit the sweet spot . Kerio, Outpost, Sygate and ZA are all ok . Freebyte ( . freebyte . com/antivirus/" target="_blank">www . freebyte . com) has a fairly comprehensive list of firewalls worth looking at . |
