357059 2005-05-20 11:48:00 After setting up the MFC-210C and testing the copying and printing functions to be working properly, I commenced the driver and software installation. Despite CD vibration when when running, all went well until midway through stage 6 when an error report (Paperport installer dosn't respond. Please restart your PC and then ensure all active applications are closed - Then reinstall MFL-Pro Suite.) came up on a clear desktop screen. After several attempts I resorted to Repair MFL-Pro Suite. The installation advanced to the end of stage 11. After several attempts I gave up waiting for stage 12... to arrive. Please advise me on what to do next. I have also tried installing MFL-Pro Suite without PaperPort to no avail. Bart (587)

read the manual again - also disable any anti-virus etc.

357063 2005-05-21 00:06:00 Why does the CD vibrate in the drive? Do you have a faulty drive or does the CD have something stuck on it so that the spin is unbalanced? Jen (38)
357064 2005-05-21 11:02:00 Are you installing as the Administrator user on XP Home?

I'd try the 160 MB download here (global.solutions.brother.com)
if you cab download it.

357065 2005-06-12 20:42:00 Did you solve the problem by now? I have similar problem installing Brother MFC-8440.
Brother suggest to re-install Win XP.
Wonder if you have solved the problem?
