I just want to know if it will run fine with just 1 card, or running the second card in tandem necessary? Becuase I can onlly afford one card at the moment, and if it won't work well with only 1, I'll get the regualr version.

I guess it could also be somewhat of an investment, for when more graphically taxing games are released, and I have the money to buy another card.

356622 2005-05-20 01:19:00 Well, I'd probably only be paying about 50-100 more for a full tower, so I figure I might as well not half-ass this thing.

How about this case that comes with a power source, and looks like it has plenty of ventilation:

Antec cases have a good name from what I have heard. Do remember, though, with full tower cases you will probably need extra long cables for some things to reach the motherboard which will be an additional expense. Also think about where it is going to live - will it fit on your desk/shelf with plenty of ventilation around it?

Also, about the soundcard, is it even necessary to buy anything? Or will this come with everything I need to hook up speakers? (Honestly, I really could care less about sound quality. I just want to be able to hook up speakers and hear what I'm playing.)
You won't need an additional soundcard if you are not terribly fussed about sound quality. Most on-board sound is fairly good these days, anyway.

It will run perfectly with one card, It would be a good purchase with what you have in mind.
