2005-05-22 12:02:00 I am trying to connect a mouse to a computer that does not have a PS2 port. I have a PS2 mouse and am using a serial adaptor plug but just cannot get the mouse to be detected or installed. Any wise ideas? bpt2 (6653)
2005-05-22 12:06:00 check and see if anything else is using com1 this normally the default com port for a serial mouse beama (111)
2005-05-22 12:07:00 Is there any driver (highly unlikely) needed to be installed before using the mouse? Renmoo (66)
2005-05-22 12:09:00 If the mouse was not designed to use the PS2 adapter, it's unlikely to work.

The mouse has to be designed to accommodate the use of an adapter, its not a given.
