I am trying to connect a mouse to a computer that does not have a PS2 port. I have a PS2 mouse and am using a serial adaptor plug but just cannot get the mouse to be detected or installed. Any wise ideas? |

Is there any driver (highly unlikely) needed to be installed before using the mouse? |

If the mouse was not designed to use the PS2 adapter, it's unlikely to work.
The mouse has to be designed to accommodate the use of an adapter, its not a given. |

Buy a serial mouse, cost less then a feed at Mcdonalds....and just as tasty.... |

Perhaps, bpt2, you could tell us the model / brand of the mouse? |
