I'd tend to forget about the CRT.
I'd make sure the power supply is any good.

You probably want some better speaker than the monitor ones.
And I'd get a slightly better video card.

357346 2005-05-22 05:52:00 CRTs are 'last century' technology. But if you have the room on the desk and do not mind big old hulks in front of your eyes, then the 19in CRT would be OK. LCD screens have come way down in price over the last year, and if I was in your place I'd be happy with the 17in LCD which is what I have now.

1G RAM - definitely.

The PB Technology techies/sales people that I have spoken with in recent years have been very helpful. If you are not cash strapped, just go through each item and ask how much it would cost to upgrade. You may find, as I did, that you can get better components for not much extra $$.

Yea i think ill got with the GT mabey the 6800GT depending on how much more it will cost (any idea)

i cant seem to find the 6600GT on the pbteck page with 256mb of ram only 128
