357532 2005-05-23 04:16:00 Telnet is a very old protocol. It dates back to the days when there was a lot more trust in the Internet, and most users were trustworthy. So it'
s not a very safe protocol. There are new ways to do what it does (e.g. ssh) which don't put "naked" passwords in packets.

I don't think there are many sites on the Internet now which have Telnet servers running, and port 23 will be blocked.

There's nothing you can do from your end to make a site accept a telnet connection. Either it will or it won't.

Can you clarify what actually is happening. Can you open msn? can you login? Have you tried on another computer? Maybe you should try http://amsn.sf.net to see if your login is b0rked or not.

357538 2005-05-23 09:09:00 i not sure its telnet but im still being blocked from msnYou really need to give more info. What made you think it was telnet, and now not? What makes you think someone else is blocking you? What Windows and MSN versions are you running? Give as much info as you can think of.

357539 2005-05-23 09:10:00 What makes you think telnet is blocking your MSN access? Telnet is a protocol that can be used to communicate between computers (or devices such as routers) via the ethernet.

Perhaps if you explain fully what problem you are experiencing and what (if any) error messages you are seeing. Give as many details as possible. :)
