| 358188 | 2005-05-24 21:56:00 | good morning i would like to buy another graphic card for my computer .at the moment i have winfast 360 -5700 and i would like to go to the leadtek 6800. my computer is or the 6600 256 mb 128 bit 512mb ram 2.0ghz 5700 128 mb card agp x 4 winxp am i going to get any better performance out off the computer i mostly play games flight sims and command and conquer any help[ would be gratefull thankyou richard |

The 5700 aint the worst card on the market but its close,where as the 6600GT (make sure its the GT) is the best bang for buck midrange card available, If your looking at non-ultra or non-GT cards then a bit of research will be in order....The performance of the chipsets can be seriously hampered by slow ram,blocked pipes and lower clockspeeds. |

Yep, the loss of performance is about 1-to-5 fps(bugger all, next to nothing) when used in a 4xagp slot, go for it....though I wouldn't be buying a top of the line card for a system that has a 4xagp.... |

Certainly not $400 worth of improvement. I wanted it for MS Flight Simm 2004. And the scenery is still poor. |
