358154 2005-05-24 11:57:00 I have been having problems signing in to my hotmail account in my own computer, but I can sign in using another computer.
I had reinstall NSM HOTMAIL, but still can't sign in.( correct use name and correct password).
I wonder if I un-install the NSM hotmail and than re-install that may solve the problem,BUT I DON'T KNOW HOW TO UNINSTALL THE NSM. Can any one help?

Thank you.

358155 2005-05-24 12:11:00 If it's really NSM Hotmail then thrash your comp through spyware and adware cleaneruppers and If it's "MSN Hotmail" you mean then that's a puzzle too. MSN Messenger yes OK. Well Just get rid of it. Probably in Add/remove programs. MSN Hotmail may be a new MS thing I haven't heard about but I"d get rid of it anyway..

Maybe provide a few more details wouldn't hurt...........m

358156 2005-05-24 12:59:00 Hi Mark C,
Sorry, I mean MSN Hotmail. ( hotmail)
I have been trying and trying to sign in my hotmail account , but have trouble to sign in ( it said incorrect name or password ) As what I said I can sign in using another computer but not my own computer, that mean the use name and password I use is correct.
MSN Hotmail is not in ADD/REMOVE programs window.

Thank you.

358157 2005-05-24 13:34:00 i guess you could try another IM client. Like Trillian if they still do it. Jams (1051)
358158 2005-05-24 13:42:00 You could try this program as a replacement for MSN Messenger and other messenger programs, I use it, there are a few bugs but it is quite good. It will give you a chance to see if your computer will allow you to connect using another application.

358161 2005-05-24 21:23:00 lol dunno what you mean..........hotmail is not in add/remove progs.........of course it aint......it's a web based email service NOT a program that's installed.........try this on your pc..........goto controlpanel/internet options/privacy/advanced and override automatic cookie handling and allow cooki9es for everything...........including sessionn cookies......also check that the date showing on your clock in the lower right of your screen is correct this is important drcspy (146)
358162 2005-05-25 00:09:00 Oooops. So long since I had anything to do with junk-filled Hotmail didn't realise it was prefixed with MSN. Thought it may be a bit of junkware masquerading on the comp.

So to get back to the original. You simply can't sign into Hotmail on one particular machine.?

Make sure you are allowing cookies like drcspy says. And post back.....m

Not a fix - but. Abandon Hotmail Try Yahoo instead. (get yourself a new email addy.) :D

358163 2005-05-25 00:28:00 Perhaps they are referring to MSN Explorer?

When this is enabled it sets itself as the default app for Surfing and for email, It applies a horrendous MSN shell around Internet Explorer and refers email queries though Hotmail.

It is perhaps the single worse "bell and whistle " bundled in with XP, I delete the shortcuts to it on every install I do lest someone gets curious and clicks it.

To stop using it simply right click the taskbar, select properties, start menu, customise, then change the default email and internet options to programs of your choice.

Besides that, Hotmail is a big steaming pile of crap, There are far easier, better, less evil services run by other parties, though Yahoo is nearly as bad (no comp of mine is willingly allowed to visit any yahoo site....
