| 357832 | 2005-05-23 10:25:00 | Hi, My System File Checker with XP SP2 doesn't seem to work. I type sfc /scannow and nothing happens. I ran it from the command line to see what the error message was and it came up with this: Windows File Protection could not make the requested change. The specific error code is 0x000006ba [The RPC server is unavailable.]. Any ideas? I have enabled the RPC & RPC Locator services but still same error. To make matters worse, my SP2 slipstream CD doesn't want to detect a previous windows installation to repair it? |
