| 359340 | 2005-05-28 12:26:00 | I cant get my modem to work on an older pc.... :badpc: .. I have re installed windows ( 98se) to try and repair.. but now it cant find the pci serial controller " no drivers" anyone able to help? :thumbs: |

| 359342 | 2005-05-29 02:46:00 | thanks for taking the time :thumbs: it is a Rockwell hcf 56k data fax pci modem I downloaded a new driver after being advised by the windows installation that it did not have a drivers. I have installed them with no joy.. I have physically removed the modem and rebooted.. then shut down re mounted the modem card.. the usual " found new h/w" window pops up and the drivers wer installed... but hen came the "cannot find pci serial controller" |

| 359344 | 2005-05-29 03:15:00 | Hmm sounds similar to the one in this Which is a Generic 56k HCF Data fax modem, which is a PCI data/fax modem . XP installed these drivers tho . I would take the modem out and see if its got something like 1456VQH-R3 on it, which means its a Dynalink modem . . . If it shows something like this, the drivers are on the Dynalink site . And nope theyre not mobo drivers . Theyre modem drivers . |
