358890 2005-05-27 11:17:00 Hi all

How would I go about burning a quicktime .mov file (400mb) to a VCD that I could play in the DVD player (for the tv)

Got very lost and confused reading through google and was hoping someone else may have tried it and succeded

Thanks

Nigel

358891 2005-05-27 12:32:00 You need to convert it first to an Mpeg/Avi file and then burn it as a VCD.

Most video editing programs should do that automatically.
Watch out though as quite often the result tends to be quite choppy / jerky.

I made a VCD using Ulead VideoStudio and it worked like a charm, and it handles Quicktime files.
April 2002 CD of PCWorld Plus CD had Videostudio 4 for free

any one know of a way to get a smoother output?

Thanks

Yes, buy a dvd burner and burn to dvd they're cheap enough now and the quality will improve.
Also it will greatly depend on the file size and quality of the original as to the quality of the end product.
'Crap in' will always produce 'Crap out'
