358856 2005-05-27 05:57:00 I've just downloaded Zonealarm Security Suite and thinking of buying it when the trial period ends. Do you have any comments on its built-in AV? Is it better than AVG or NAV? How about its full-computer scanning speed relatived to those two I mentioned above? Does it use much of System Resource? Thanks!

Cheers :)

358857 2005-05-27 06:26:00 I tried to install it, but it didnt want to install. I downloaded it 3 times, and it still didn't install.

All it did was take up 3gb of hdd space, and filled the hdd with useless temp files. And did absolutely NOTHING. I wiped it.

So, IMO it sux.

I guess you have try this: Have you try installing it under safe mode and disable any AV at the same time?

To Nigel, I will have a look through the PC World Magazine from my school's library.
Cheers :)

358861 2005-05-27 08:28:00 Way better than Nortons!!!!!!!
As for the AV part, I dunno, never felt happy enough to trust it on its own. Always had AVG as well. After all ZA is mainly a firewall.

358863 2005-05-27 18:55:00 Okay, my MSN Messenger is acting funny after installation of ZA SS. It automatically changes my status as online whenever I sign in as offline. I'm sure I didn't mess around with the tools nor the options. Plus, my taskbar icons (near the clock) start to appear and disappear as it like for every boot up of the computer. My "welcome" window upon login stalls for a few seconds longer. I've just defrag my HDD few days ago under safe mode. Should I post a HijackThis log over here? Thanks

Cheers :)
