| 359877 | 2005-05-30 20:22:00 | I've recently had to format my hard drive because of a corrupt boot sector, and while reinstalling everything, realised my speakers didnt work, i tried to find an install disc for them, but was horrified to not find one, I also think that my sound card is no longer installed, i would appreciate any help; for example how i can check to find out whether my sound card is installed, how to install it without a cd, and how i can reinstall my harman/kardon speakers also without a cd, if i even need to reinstall them. I hate not having sound please help! Any help will be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance! |

| 359880 | 2005-05-30 21:08:00 | There are no drivers for speakers. Go into Device Manager and look for an entry with a problem, such as multimedia device. That will be the sound card without a driver. Take the lid off and have a look at the model number written on either the sound card (if seoparate) or the chip (if onboard). Thats the driver you need. Go somewhere like www.driverguide.com and search for it, making sure you choose the correct operating system as well. |
