359752 2005-05-30 05:55:00 HI, I am behind a proxy at work and I wondering if it is possible to change and preferrably hide IP. Any programs able to do this. Thanks. lightfoot (39)
359753 2005-05-30 06:05:00 Hide from what? From your works Proxy? From the external world? Chilling_Silence (9)

simply tell your browser to use one of them, and it will. Be warned that it may retard internet speed, so choose a proxy that's closest to you (Ie not russia or spain etc ;)). Here's a list of NZ proxies (www.atomintersoft.com) (You can safely disregard the ping ratings, they're pings from USA, and me tests prove that a proxy that's rated at 2216 ms runs at 96ms on my DSL connection)

If your work has it setup correctly you can't change the proxy setting, so you are screwed!

359757 2005-05-30 12:49:00 If your work is anything like mine, then you _must_ use the proxy to get out to the real-world.

If thats the case, try Megaproxy.com and its free trial :)

Precisely this is my case. I'd like to hide or change my IP to the external world. So does this propram allow me to do this. Will give it a try. Any other programs recommended. Thanks.

359759 2005-05-30 23:28:00 I would have imagined zonealarm or similar would do that. Doesn't your firewall hide your IP address? netchicken (4843)
359760 2005-05-30 23:34:00 Any of these programs provide a workable solution. I tried Megaproxy.com. It works on some, some it produced an error.

359761 2005-05-30 23:36:00 I am behind a work proxy. It is kinda like a firewall already. And no I don't think firewall hide your IP, especially a proxy does not. lightfoot (39)
