| 359477 | 2005-05-29 11:31:00 | read the rules, then wash your mouth out with soap ! then download adaware and spybot...both are free ! download hijackthis and post a report...it will list whats running and possibly any spyware. :yuck: Just got back from the bathroom, (spitting soap every where.) Sorry guys. Thanks for the replies. Its a brand new system, so i dont think a defrag is really necissary. I have less than 15 icons on desktop. Will try all help though, thanks. I did install an internal modem, so i might pull that out, and see what happens. Cheers |

| 359479 | 2005-05-29 22:03:00 | To stop these tasks from booting with ur comp go Start>Run>msconfig click on the Startup tab and deselect programs that u dnt want to boot. Be careful when doing and make sure u know wat the programs are b4 deselcting them. Actually you can disable anything there quite freely without worry - it's a great way to diagnose startup problems. Simply re-enable an application if it's found not to be the cause of any startup issues. |
