| 359704 | 2005-05-30 04:14:00 | I put a new Motherboard into my PC and it ran fine (for about 30 mins). i put a new hard drive in (which would not detect). so i took it out and then none of my other hard drives would detect. the computer would not boot and i have tried everything humanly possible to fix it. any suggestions ????? |

| 359706 | 2005-05-30 04:37:00 | Check that the cable is correctly connected. Pin 1 on the drive (nearest the power connector) must go to pin 1 on the motherboard. The stripe on the cable indicates the pin 1 edge. If one end is the wrong way round, the disk activity light usually stays on. | Graham L (2) | ||

| 359708 | 2005-05-31 03:03:00 | it's thhe same computer but i fixed it. it was the ide cable. where the socket plug joins the cable, it had pulled away. thanks for your help |
