360442 2005-06-02 00:17:00 Friends,

For some time now I try to find a good rename program (preferrably freeware, but willing to pay 20-30 US $), that will rename the digital photos I have stored. i am looking at my pics, click the series that I want to rename and it would be great if that could be a function that for example was a right mouse click.
The programs I tried, like A.F.Rename your files, all want to have that program imported a list with files.

Who has a nice program tested?

cheers

360443 2005-06-02 00:41:00 Try Flash Renamer. I have used for about 3 years now and am more than happy with it. I use it on MP3s all the time as well as photos.

Try here: www.5starstools.com

My copy is older and free, this one maybe a trial but try Google for another.

Cheers

360446 2005-06-02 08:01:00 Try this trick: In a folder full of similar-type pictures, select all of them or press Ctrl+A, then press F2, give them a name and voila! All of them will be labeled with similar names, except that there is a different number at the back of each photos's name. Think this only works in XP. Learned it from Netguide.

Cheers :)

Ditto!

But remember to only select files of the same extension, and include the extension when choosing a new name.
